I have worked both in first fix carpentry which includes framing, sub floors etc to second fox which includes architraves, skirting, flooring and hanging doors. Of recent years l have worked a lot as a cabinet maker so l am quite versatile. No job is too small, l will even come and put together some flat pack furniture for you or simply hang a shelf as l do realise not anyone has the tools or knows someone that can do a small job for them. The job was to cut back a severely overgrown patch of garden. Chris & his team, Adrian & Cosmin, gave me a competitive quote, after coming to visit the site to assess what needed to be done. John and the team did an outstanding job. It was easy to work with John and he was very knowledgeable, and provided very sensible advice. Other people quoted work which was over-the-top or wouldn't have solved the problem but John got right to the issue in a no-nonsense way. Avoid Wayne from Blackwell Roofing. He quoted £380 based on photos, then came to view the job from the ground—no proper inspection. He later climbed a ladder with no safety gear, started tearing down fascia, then suddenly claimed the job was £1,600. When I asked him to stop, he became aggressive, shouting and throwing tools and wood down dangerously. I felt threatened and unsafe in my own home. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and intimidating. Do not hire him.
