George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. The basic work was done, but I’d agreed with mark that he does a number of other pieces of work because the price I’d agreed with him was too much for resetting of 30 or so bricks. But before I knew anything about it he’d taken down the scaffolding and packed up claiming he’d done everything possible. I’d paid handsomely for a days work, I got a couple of hours max. Kevin came round after hours and measured up. Two days later he was here fitting 2 new poles and 2 new shelves took him just over an hour. He even gave a hint to keep my doors in motion rather than adding more costs to something that didnt need doing.

I have been a builder for over 30 years. We have moved from large site work building houses in and around the reading area, Mostly all the brickwork. For the past 15 years we are been concentrating only on residential extensions offering a complete service from ?foundation and drainage to finish flooring. Including all plumbing, electrics, windows carpentry and roofing.all works are signed of and inspected by building control and carry a 10 year structural warranty. Swear We do not add extra cost unless extra work is added as we progress after full consultation before continuing. ?We will have lots of meetings to discuss interior fixtures and finish before quoting to eliminate cost rises.
Came and looked at job gave quote and start date. Noticed that wall was also leaning inwards and after some consideration advised that wall should be knocked down and rebuilt for same cost as original quote. Turned up when he stated and removed wall and recovered most of bricks. Rebuilt wall higher than original with cap bricks on either end. Very impressed with the way he lined up wall and kept concrete between rows equal continually checking measurements. Good craftsman will use again. Highly recommended

MBC have been unprofessional due to their unreliability, failing to complete the work and taking 4 months to do a job which was estimated to take 10 days. Whilst removing a bathroom the ceiling collapsed, they ruptured a water pipe damaging new kitchen although it was repaired.They have failed to replace the new sink which they cracked, left spotlights unfinished in bedroom, loft access and fireplace hearth unfinished. Martin has apparently been a project manager but his time management is appalling.
