Although the work was more extensive/expensive than I had hoped, I trusted Jesse who showed me and explained what had been happening and also that the adjoining (and older) flat roof over the utility room was beginning to show signs of deterioration. He promised to start work as soon as the rain gave up for a bit, kept in contact which was a great comfort.
